Let's just get right into it.
Superbowl - Made the call the Saints would win by three. I was way off the score, but got the team right. Should have laid some bets out there, but being short on cash prevented that. I still stand that I don't like betting on sports, or anything in general that I don't have some control over. Hence, the poker player I used to be.
So Kraft and I went to our first public Magic tournament the other night. It was a "casual" game, to which Kraft said "If this is casual, I'd hate to see the professional league." A statement that perfectly matched the night. Both of us got our asses handed to us. As Sarah observed this all, she asked why we would do this since we pretty much made ourselves look stupid. Simple...three free booster packs. We both agreed it was worth the humiliation. As long as there are free cards involved, we'll be there.
Finally, I highly recommend picking up "Black Dynamite" on DVD when it comes out on 2/16. It is a parody of the '70s blaxploitation films like Shaft. One of the funniest movies of 2009.
