First and foremost, I lied. I said I would post every other day, and clearly that did not happen (thank you Kraft for pointing this out on Bombed Out Radio today). I admit that I have been meaning to post with multiple topics, but bullshit and laziness got in the way. Anyway, I don't intend on saying that I will be better about posting every other day, but I will do my best. So sit back, and here we go.
To start, a big FUCK YOU to the BBC. The reason behind me cursing out the BBC, a company I generally have nothing but good things to say about, is because they are guilty of picking the pockets of Doctor Who fans. They just released the special "The End of Time" on DVD, a two part special that is 120 minutes long. Rather than doing the proper thing and releasing the special on a single disc DVD, they released it broken over two. It is not out of laziness of having to switch discs that this angers me, but rather that they charge and extra $5 for this special because it is two discs as opposed to the other specials that have been single discs. Considering that they have fit three to four one hour episodes per disc on the complete seasons, there was no reason to split it between two discs except for one...more money to be made. I encourage fans of Doctor Who to not purchase this special, write the BBC, and then watch the special online for free (because it is outstanding).
Second, and this goes back to the snow we had last Thursday, WTF is wrong with you, drivers of St. Louis? There was maybe one tenth of an inch on snow on the highways and roads last Thursday night, yet people were driving like it was several inches high. Here is an idea: if you have a four wheel drive car, or have some level of basic common sense, then you are allowed to drive in the snow. If you have no fucking clue and are scared by anything that falls from the sky, stay the fuck home. Driving 20 mph on a highway with basically nothing out of the ordinary besides some snow drifting on road is not only unacceptable, but extremely dangerous. It is like I always say to my mom when she tells me to drive carefully when there is rain or snow, I'm not concerned about my abilities, but those of the idiots who have no clue.
Third, I guess those guys I mocked in high school fifteen years ago an apology as I am now one of them. Thanks once again to Kraft, the source of most latest hobby, I am playing Magic: The Gathering and having a blast doing it. I thought this game had been dead for years, but as it turns out it has stood the test of time. Take it from me, before you mock it, give it a go. Like I said, it has been a ton of fun.
